A Hudson Valley teen was charged with assault after allegedly beating up his girlfriend on more than one occasion, injuring her with his fists and choking her.
Rockland County resident Thomas Peragine, age 19, of Stony Point, was charged in Stony Point on Thursday, Oct. 24.
According to Lt. Daniel Schoales of the Stonyy Point Police, he was charged after deputies responded to a home in Stony Point for a welfare check, believing the woman was in danger.

Hudson Valley Woman Charged With Stabbing Mother To Death, Police Say
A Hudson Valley woman is being held without bail after allegedly stabbing her mother to death.
The incident occurred in Rockland County around 1 a.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11, in Stony Point.
Stony Point Police responded to a home at 431 Willow Grove Road for a report of a woman who had been stabbed and was bleeding, said Lt. Greg Becker, of the Stony Point Police.
When officers responded to the scene along with the Haverstraw Police and the Rockland County Sheriff's Office, they found Doris Quispe, age 60, of Stony Point, who had been stabbed and slashed with a large knife, Becker said.

Hudson Valley Man Nabbed For Burglary Of $1K In Goods From Home, Police Say
A Hudson Valley man has been charged with burglary after allegedly entering a home and stealing more than $1,000 in goods.
The incident took place in Rockland County around 9:25 a.m., Monday, Oct. 31, in Stony Point.
Rafael Olivo, age 58, of Stony Point, was arrested after he allegedly entered a home and removed items valued at more than $1,000 without permission, said Lt. Greg Becker, of the Stony Point Police.

Local Woman Nabbed For Entering Hudson Valley Home, Stealing $1K In Goods, Police Say
A local woman has been arrested for allegedly entering a Hudson Valley home and stealing more than $1K in items.
Danielle Logan, age 37, allegedly entered the Rockland County residence in Stony Point and removed items valued at more than $1,000, according to Lt. Greg Becker, of the Stony Point Police.
Following an investigation, Logan, a resident of Stony Point, was arrested and charged with:
Burglary
Grandy larceny
Petit larceny
Criminal trespass
She was released on an appearance ticket and is due in court on Wednesday, Nov. 9 in Stony Point.
Man Shot, Killed At Home In Hudson Valley
A man was shot and killed during a dispute at a Hudson Valley home.
The incident took place in Rockland County around 11:30 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 17 in Stony Point on Mott Farm Road.
According to Lt. Greg Becker, of the Stony Point Police, Jason Colwell, age 47, of Garnerville, a hamlet of Haverstraw, was found dead from gunshot wounds.
The suspect, identified as Javier Medina Jr. age 21, of Stony Point, who lives at the home, remained at the scene and was transported to police headquarters for investigation, Becker said.

Tomkins Cove Brother, Sister Busted For Fight In Rockland, Police Say
A brother and sister were arrested following a domestic dispute during which the sister allegedly hit another woman and the brother broke a window in a vehicle.
Sean Kelly, 34, and Kristin Kelly, 32, both of Tomkins Cove, were arrested Thursday, Aug. 8, following the dispute by Stony Point Police.
According to police, officers patrolling in Tomkins Cove were alerted to loud yelling and a disturbance on Rosetown Road, Stony Pont Police Lt. Daniel Hylas said.
