New York Gov. Kathy Hochul announced Tuesday, June 25, that work is underway on a $17.4 million project to rehabilitate three highway bridges in the Hudson Valley, in Rockland, Westchester, and Orange counties.

Westchester County District Attorney Miriam E. Rocah announced on Tuesday, Feb. 8, that after a four-week-long bench trial, Somers resident Jaime Paucar was found guilty for a crash he caused while intoxicated, which resulted in the death of two Ardsley residents.

23-Year-Old Impaired Driver Nabbed With Illegal Handgun After Westchester Stop, Police Say
A 23-year-old man was busted for DWI and for having a handgun following a traffic stop in Westchester.
Zay Williams, age 23, of the Bronx, was arrested around 10:50 a.m., Wednesday, April 7, following a traffic stop on I-287 in Greenburgh, said Trooper Tara McCormick of the New York State Police.
According to McCormick, Williams was arrested after he was stopped for multiple traffic violations and during a search, troopers found a loaded Colt 23-caliber handgun in his pocket.

Woman Stopped In Westchester Following Brief Police Pursuit Charged With DWI
New York State Police arrested a woman in Westchester following a brief pursuit after she was stopped for multiple traffic violations and alleged DWI.
Idalisa Roman, 40, of the Bronx, was arrested around 12:10 a.m., Monday, Jan. 2, after state police attempted to stop her vehicle on I-287 in the town of Harrison, said the state police.
Roman failed to comply, and a brief pursuit ensued. Once the vehicle stopped, it was determined that the driver, Roman was intoxicated, state police said.
