Rockland Couple Hospitalized In PIP Crash A Rockland man and woman were hospitalized after their sedan crashed off the southbound Palisades Interstate Parkway in Alpine, New Jersey on Saturday, Oct. 2, authorities said. Palisades Interstate Parkway police got a 911 call last Thursday from a friend of the man pointing to a Facebook post alluding to him committing suicide at the lookout, PIP Sgt. John Inserra, 48, was married with three young children -- two boys and a girl. He coached and was extremely active in local youth sports, including softball and wrestling.
