Fake ICE Agent On Long Island Sparks Investigation, Police Say
A man was allegedly caught posing as a Customs and Border Protection Officer on Long Island, prompting police to investigate potential fraud.
On Wednesday, Nov. 1, Andy Kwok, age 53, was arrested in a Levittown restaurant for pretending to be a US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agent, according to Nassau County Police.
At approximately 11:20 a.m., Kwok, a resident of the hamlet of Delmar in Albany County, was dining at K City Hot Pot and Sushi, located at 3056 Hempstead Turnpike.

A former bookkeeper at a business in the Hudson Valley has been accused of stealing almost $715,000 over the past two and a half years.

Rockland County Sheriff's Office Warrant Sweep Nets Six Arrests
Six people were arrested during an early-morning warrants sweep by the Rockland County Sheriff's Office.
The sweep took around 6 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 2, at more than 30 different addresses in Rockland, Westchester and Orange counties, as well as the Bronx, said Chief William Barbera of the Rockland County Sheriff's Office.
The six were arrested on charges ranging from Family Court offenses to Justice Court misdemeanor charges, to Rockland County Court felonies, Barbera said.

Two of four people involved in a police chase that ended in a three-vehicle crash that injured seven on Route 17K have been charged in the crime.
The incident began around 10:54 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 1, when State Police attempted to stop a black Chevy Tahoe on I-87 near the Newburgh exit, based on a BOLO alert for a suspect vehicle wanted in connection with gang activity, said Trooper Tara McCormick.

Working on a tip, Orange County law enforcement officials arrested a 64-year-old man for allegedly using fake prescriptions to get oxycodone and other drugs.
Eugene Anthony Lloyd, of New York City, was arrested Tuesday by officials with the Orange County Drug Task Force, Orange County Sheriff’s Office and Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement, after information was developed from the tip, said the Orange County District Attorney's Office.

A Rockland County woman has been convicted of fraud and forging documents following a jury trial.
Jermika Depas, 32, of Spring Valley, was found guilty of one count of welfare fraud, three counts of criminal possession of a forged instrument, and three counts of filing a false document, all felonies, in order to receive rent-free living assistance, said the Rockland County District Attorney's Office.
