HAVERSTRAW, N.Y. - On a relatively quiet Saturday morning on the streets of Haverstraw, there was a buzz in the air at Shannell Beauty Salon, which was busy getting area women styled and ready for the weekend.

Shannell has been in business for five years, and customers in the salon said they "would definitely recommend Shannel to their friends."

"I think we try to give the best cuts," owner Rosa Elibane Ramos told Daily Voice. "We do lots of different styles... we can do whatever you're looking for.

"Pleasing our customers is our number one priority," Ramos added. "We love giving people a new style, a new look."
