A Capital Region teenager was arrested for swiping cash and items from a store over several days, police said Sunday, Aug. 30.
Angel M. DeJesus Jr., 18, of Ballston Spa, was nabbed Wednesday, Aug. 26 for the thefts at Wilton Mall in Saratoga Springs, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s office said.
Cops responded to an active larceny complaint at the mall around 7:20 p.m. Wednesday, and the ensuing investigation led to DeJesus’s arrest, authorities said. More than 844,000 vehicles are being recalled because a camera problem can block a driver's view while reversing.
Stellantis issued the recall for 844,027 Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, and Ram vehicles, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said in a report filed on Thursday, Aug. 13. The recall affects certain 2026 and 2027 models.
The issue involves radio software that can prevent the rearview camera image from displaying when a vehicle is placed in reverse. The failure can reduce rear visibility and increase the risk of a crash, according to the NHTSA.

Saratoga County Hotel Damage Pinned On Schenectady Man With Criminal History: Police
A Capital Region man who damaged hotel property earlier in the summer was arrested on two felony charges, police said Sunday, Aug. 30.
Jerald L. Bowden, 30, of Schenectady, was charged with second-degree felony criminal mischief and aggravated family offense, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s office said. He was arrested Tuesday, Aug. 25.
Bowden was staying at a hotel in Clifton Park on Saturday, July 11 when he intentionally damaged property at the business, authorities said. The damages exceeded $1,500, according to investigators.

114K Car Seats Recalled Over Injury Risks For Infants
More than 114,000 infant car seats are being recalled because their carrying handles can partially detach, increasing the risk that a child could fall and be injured.
Britax Child Safety issued the recall for 114,660 B-Safe infant car seats, according to a National Highway Traffic Safety Administration report submitted on Thursday, Aug. 20. The recall covers several models, including B-Safe Gen 2, B-Safe Gen 2 Flexfit, B-Safe Gen 2 Flexfit Plus, B-Safe 35, B-Safe Ultra, and Endeavours.
