A Capital Region man was among five people busted with a cache of illegal drugs while driving through New York, state police said.
Jamie P. Fox, 36, of Albany, was the oldest of the five suspects arrested Monday, Sept. 14 on State Route 5S in Frankfort, New York State Police said.
Troopers pulled over a 2001 Honda on the road around 6:30 p.m. Monday for vehicle and traffic violations, authorities said. The driver had a suspended license, and the investigators moved to impound the vehicle, according to state police.

The Pennsylvania county where a gunman shot President Donald Trump during a 2024 campaign rally is now at the center of another high-profile federal threat case.
The FBI says it first investigated Jonathan Hunter Kramer in 2023, when he was a minor, before arresting the Butler County man Saturday, Sept. 12, over an alleged ISIS-inspired attack plan.
Kramer, 20, of Valencia, was taken into custody after agents found a semiautomatic rifle, ammunition, loaded magazines, pepper spray, a scope, and other gear at a Cranberry Township hotel, according to a criminal complaint.

Cocaine-Hauling Trio Busted After Capital District Driving Blunder: Police
A trio of New York men were busted with cocaine after they were pulled over in a traffic stop in the Capital Region, authorities said.
Steven M. Wescott, 40; Jason O. Allen, 47; and Patrick M. Howe, 48, were cuffed Thursday, Sept. 10 in Saratoga Springs, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s office said.
Wescott was behind the wheel of a vehicle that made an illegal signal around 3:15 p.m. Thursday on Hamilton Street, the sheriff’s office said. An investigation at the stop led to Wescott, Allen, and Howe all being charged with two counts of third-degree drug possession, according to authorities.

Two 24-year-olds from New Jersey were killed after being struck by a subway train in Manhattan early Sunday morning, Sept. 13, authorities said.
According to the NY Post, video shows Navam Kaul, of Sayreville, and Malaika Chitre, of Dayton, sitting on the tracks moments before they were struck by the train just before 3:15 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 13.

489 Pounds Of Weed Seized In Capital Region Traffic Stop: Police
Nearly 500 pounds of marijuana were seized in a traffic stop in the Capital Region, police said Monday, Sept. 14.
Kevin C. Wilbur, 46, and Quinton L. Carle, 23, were busted with 489 pounds of weed while driving on Interstate 87 through Clifton Park, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s office said.
Wilbur, of Brushton, and Carle, of Bombay, were pulled over Tuesday, Sept. 8 around 2:30 p.m. for following another car too closely and having “insufficient” tail lights, the sheriff’s office said.
