Hudson Valley Teen Runaway Nabbed For Stealing Cars, Burglary, Theft, Police Say
A 16-year-old runaway in the region has been nabbed for allegedly stealing two vehicles, burglary, and theft.
The arrest occurred in Ulster County on Tuesday, Oct. 22, in the town of Lloyd.
According to Lloyd Police Chief James Janso, the Lake Katrine teen was charged after a month-long investigation found the boy allegedly stole two vehicles, entered a residence, stole a cell phone and iPad, and took alcohol from a convenience store in Highland.

Grand larceny, fourth-degree

Teen Admits To Stabbing Two Rockland Men On Jersey Shore, Prosecutor Says
A teenager has admitted to stabbing two Hudson Valley men on the Jersey Shore during a fight last year, authorities said.
Juwan Roman, age 18, of Newark, pleaded guilty on Thursday, May 13 to two counts of aggravated assault and weapons offenses, according to Ocean County Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer.
Roman's name was made public this week after he waived his right to juvenile status in Family Court.
Roman was 17 during the 2020 assault, but he voluntarily agreed to be prosecuted as an adult, the prosecutor said.

14-Year-Old Forcibly Restrained, Touched Victim In Northern Westchester, Police Say
A 14-year-old boy entered a home and then forcibly restrained and touched a victim in Northern Westchester, state police said.
An investigation revealed the boy forcibly entered the victim’s residence on Thursday, Feb. 13 in Cortlandt, state police said.
He then proceeded to forcibly restrain and touch the victim for the purpose of sexual gratification, according to police.
The boy, whose name was not released due to status as a minor, was charged with:

TV Reporter's Husband Faces Domestic Violence Charges
The husband of Blaise Gomez, a Hudson Valley reporter at News 12, has been indicted on numerous domestic violence charges following, what she says, is more than a year of domestic abuse in which, she says, she thought she was going to die.
Sean Doyle, 36, of Cornwall in Orange County, was hit with 15 counts, including strangulation, attempted assault, coercion and criminal mischief, all felonies.
