This Westchester County Hospital Receives 'A' Grade For Patient Safety, Report Says
One hospital in the Hudson Valley is at the top of its class for keeping patients safe, according to a new report.
Westchester County's White Plains Hospital, located at 41 East Post Rd, has been assigned an "A" grade for patient safety in a new Fall 2022 report by the Leapfrog Group, a national nonprofit watchdog organization that advocates for safety in hospitals.

Woman, 19, Stabs Teen Boy Multiple Times During Area Altercation, Police Say
A 19-year-old woman was arrested by Port Jervis Police for the stabbing of a 15-year-old boy during a fight.
The incident took place during the late evening on Sunday, June 23, on Sussex Street near the Norfolk Southern rail line, said Port Jervis Police Chief William J. Worden.
During the attack, police Juliette Pampalone, of Port Jervis, allegedly used a small folding knife to stab the 15-year-old multiple times in the upper body and neck, Worden said.

22-Year-Old Stabs Victim During Assault In Area, Police Say
A 22-year-old man is being held without bail after stabbing another man during an assault, said police.
Michael Klich, of Port Jervis, was arrested by Port Jervis Police detectives on Saturday, April 6, after an investigation into an early morning assault which took place on West Main Street, said Chief William Worden.
According to detectives, at 5:15 a.m. on Saturday, patrols responded to a report of a stabbing victim on West Main Street. The victim, a 27-year-old old male was located and had a stab wound to the abdomen, Worden said.

Two men who beat an elderly man outside a senior housing center, stuffed him in a trunk and attempted to flee police in Orange County have been indicted on a series of charges.
Port Jervis residents Justin White and Trenelle Drake, both 28, were indicted on Tuesday, where they were charged with felony counts of kidnapping, two counts of robbery, coercion, unlawful fleeing of a police officer and reckless endangerment, dating back to an armed robbery outside a senior housing complex last month.
