NORTH ARLINGTON, N.J. -- Michael J. D'Aromando, of North Arlington died Monday, Jan 23. He was 99. Born in Jersey City he lived in North Arlington since 1959. He worked as an electrician for the United States Coast Guard on Governor's Island for over 30 years before retiring in 1979. The family will receive friends on Thursday 3-7 p.m. at Parow Funeral Home, 185 Ridge Road, North Arlington. Funeral mass is on Friday, Jan 27 at 10 a.m. at Our Lady Queen of Peace Church, North Arlington. Entombment at Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum, North Arlington.

He owned and operated the Barbecue House Restaurant in Park Ridge from 1965 until his retirement in 1993. She is survived by her siblings, Leonard “Butch” Barger and wife Ann, Maryln Zanca and husband John; children, Doreen Macaluso (Donnie), Lorraine Maio (Hank), and Shelley Cennimo (Keith); grandchildren, Lisa Tagliareni, Michael Cennimo, and Sean Eckmann. She is predeceased by her parents Wesley and Lula Belle Barger and a sister Virginia Gaynelle Grimme. ELMWOOD PARK, N.J. — A Glen Rock pizza maker never dreamed of opening a shop in Elmwood Park, but once he got a taste for the business at 17, he started saving his dough. Adam Vuksanic is co-owner of Francesca Pizza and Pasta in Elmwood Park, along with founder Salvatore Reina of Fair Lawn.
