On April 20, 1969, Glenn Smith was found deceased - under suspicious circumstances - in the Hudson River, near Beacon. The 5-foot, 6-inch Smith had last been seen on Jan. 23 that year at the Three Roses Bar in Harlem. When he was found, he was wearing purple corduroy pants, black shoes, a beige shirt and blue leather jacket.
According to the New York State Police “wanted and missing / homicide” file, Smith had recently moved from Savannah, Ga. to New York City and may have been involved in the drug trade in each location.
