Downed Tree, Wires Close Route 36 Stretch In Carmel
A stretch of Route 36 in Putnam County is closed to traffic thanks to a downed tree and wires in the road. The closure of Drewville Road (Route 36) between Stoneleigh Avenue and West Shore Drive was announced by the Carmel Fire Department on Wednesday, Jan. 29 at 3:15 p.m. According to the fire department, it is not yet known when the road will reopen. Stretch Of Road Near School In Hudson Valley Closed After Water Main Break
A stretch of road near a middle school in Northern Westchester is closed to traffic thanks to a water main break. Watch Hill Road from Furnace Dock Road to Furnace Woods Road in the town of Cortlandt is closed as crews repair the break, Cortlandt officials announced on Friday, Jan. 24 just before 8 a.m. The area is near Blue Mountain Middle School. A crash caused a closure on the Taconic State Parkway in the Hudson Valley. The incident happened in Putnam County on Thursday, Jan. 16 around 10:20 a.m. on the southbound Taconic State Parkway in Putnam Valley north of Exit 25, according to 511NY. A Hudson Valley bridge has reopened to traffic following replacement of the old structure. The Dutchess County Department of Public Works announced that the replacement of a bridge on Ridge Road in the town of Dover had been completed, and the structure had been opened to traffic.
