LI Driver Admits Leaving 67-Year-Old Pedestrian To Die After Crash: Authorities
A Long Island man admitted to fleeing the scene of a deadly car crash Wednesday, Sept. 16, authorities said.
Benjamin Sheen-Waltzer, 34, of Southampton, pleaded guilty to leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, the Suffolk County District Attorney’s office said. His sentencing hearing was set for Nov. 16.
Angel Asitimbay, 67, of Hampton Bays, was killed in the crash on March 6, 2024, on Springville Road in Hampton Bays, according to authorities.
