A Capital Region man choked and threatened another person inside his home, according to police.
Bruce C. Tatsey II, 38, of South Glens Falls, was hit with three charges for the incident at his home on Moreau Drive, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s office said Tuesday, Oct. 6.
Officers responded to the house around 4:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 4 for a disturbance call, authorities said.

Police Dog Sniffs Out Two Kilos Of Hidden Cocaine At Capital Region Traffic Stop: Authorities
A New York City man hauling two kilograms of cocaine through the Capital Region was busted with the help of a police dog, authorities said.
Kelvin L. Montana, 52, of Brooklyn, had hidden the coke in his vehicle while traveling on I-87 through Albany, New York State Police said Tuesday, Oct. 6.
Troopers pulled Montana over for a traffic violation around 1:10 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 30, state police said.
With the assistance of K-9 officer “J,” the investigators located more than two kilograms of cocaine in a “concealed compartment” inside Montana’s vehicle, troopers said.

Man Admits To Selling Russian Plutonium Out Of His Home To Buyers Across US, Abroad: Feds
A convicted Massachusetts felon has admitted to importing plutonium from Russia and mailing the highly radioactive material to dozens of buyers through a business he ran from a South Hadley home, authorities said. Police also found child sexual abuse material at his home.
Jacob D. Miller, 44, of Hadley, pleaded guilty to possession of ammunition and explosives, importing nuclear material without authorization, mailing hazardous materials, and possessing child sexual abuse material, the US Attorney for the District of Massachusetts said on Monday, Oct. 5.

Murder Suspect Captured Nine Days After Albany Man Found Dead In Alley: Police
The suspected gunman in an Albany shooting that killed a 26-year-old man was arrested Monday, Oct. 5, police said.
Khaliq M. Ibrahim, 23, of Albany, was charged with second-degree murder for the killing of Arell K. Agapito, the Albany Police Department said.
Ibrahim was captured Monday morning in the area of South Allen Street and Cliff Street, police said.
Agapito, 26, of Albany, was found dead Saturday, Sept. 26 around 9 p.m., according to authorities. Cops were responding to a report of shots fired on Elberon Place near Quail Street, police said.

Capital Region Man Broke Young Kid’s Arm, Locked Up For Assault: Police
A Capital Region man broke a young kid’s arm and is now facing an assault charge, authorities said Monday, Oct. 5.
Anthony M. Lucarelli, 21, of Halfmoon, was charged Saturday, Oct. 3 with second-degree assault for the attack on the child, who was under 7 years old, the Saratoga County Sheriff’s office said.
An EMS call from a Halfmoon address on Sunday, Sept. 27 started the investigation, according to the sheriff’s office. First responders arrived at the home around 12 p.m. and transported the child victim to Albany Medical Center for treatment and evaluation, authorities said.

PA Measles Outbreak Tops 1,000, Highest In US, 4 Vaccinated Residents Among Infected
Pennsylvania’s measles outbreak has surpassed 1,000 confirmed cases and now includes five deaths, state health officials announced Monday, Oct. 5.
The Pennsylvania Department of Health reported 1,004 cases across 39 counties so far in 2026 — up 27 cases since Friday, Oct. 2.
There have been 198 hospitalizations tied to the outbreak, according to the department. Nearly 20 percent of people identified by the state with measles have been hospitalized.

Child Porn, Long Gun Found In Ex-Felon’s Capital Region Home: Police
A Capital Region man was found in possession of child porn and an illegal gun following a search Thursday, Oct. 1, police said.
Scott Hammond, 38, of Nassau, was not allowed to own the weapon because he has a previous felony conviction, New York State Police said Monday, Oct. 5.
Troopers began investigating Hammond for child porn back in 2024, eventually leading to a search of his home on Thursday, authorities said. During that search, investigators also found a loaded long gun, according to state police.

Capital Region Man Dies After Being Thrown From ATV In Adirondack Crash: Police
A Capital Region man was killed in an ATV crash in the Adirondack Park over the weekend, police announced Monday, Oct. 5.
William L. French, 55, of South Glens Falls, was riding on the Deer Valley Club trails through Indian Lake in Hamilton County on Saturday, Oct. 3, New York State Police said.
French was on a 2021 Suzuki ATV when he struck a culvert pipe around 4:30 p.m., causing him to fly off the vehicle, authorities said.
Indian Lake medical personnel responded to the scene and treated French, but despite their best efforts, he was pronounced dead, according to state police.
