Cuomo Impeachment Investigation Will Go Beyond Sexual Harassment Allegations
As the New York State Assembly moves forward with its impeachment investigation into Gov. Andrew Cuomo, lawmakers are advising that the scope of it will be “very broad” and will expand past just the sexual harassment claims of seven women. Thousands From New York, Connecticut Flocking To Massachusetts For Legal Marijuana
As some New York and Connecticut lawmakers continue to push for the legalization of recreational marijuana, a new report has found that area residents are taking the trek north to purchase legal weed. A recently released report stated that with legalization becoming more widespread, many from the area have been driving to nearby states - namely Massachusetts, which legalized it late last year - to purchase government-approved marijuana products and illegally taking them back over state lines. $6.25M Settlement OK'd For Family Of Couple Killed By Tree On Merritt
A $6.25 million judgment has been approved by the legislature's Judiciary Committee for the estate of a Westchester couple killed on the Westport section of the Merritt Parkway on June 9, 2007, after a tree hit their vehicle. In a 9-0 vote, the committee approved the long expected settlement for the estate of Dr. Joseph J. Stavola, 46, and Jeanne C. Serocke, 44, who were killed when a 70-foot tall tree fell and smashed the front of their Volvo. Their sons, ages 9 and 7 years old at the time, both survived in their car seats.
