Thousands of longshoremen along the East and Golf coasts are on strike in a move that could heavily impact the economy and make it harder to get goods and services. In Elizabeth, NJ, the strike began on Tuesday, Oct. 1 outside Maher Terminal where hundreds of dockworkers rallied. Stop & Shop Workers In CT, Two Other New England States Strike After Impasse In Negotiations
Following weeks of negotiations on a new contract, 31,000 Stop & Shop employees have walked out and announced they will be going on strike in Connecticut, Massachusetts and Rhode Island.
