Tree Down With Wires Leads To 'Significant' Power Outage In New City

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Residents and business owners are experiencing "significant" power outages in New City Friday, due to a tree and wires down on South Mountain Road, said Clarkstown Police.

South Mountain Road is currently closed between Zukor Road & Hemlock Trail as a result.

Orange & Rockland is working to get the power restored. The traffic lights along Route 304 from Goebel Road to Route 9W are also out, police added.

Please use caution if traveling on Route 304.
