"I want to thank Robert Megna for serving as Executive Director of the New York Sate Thruway Authority, and I wish him well in his new position at Stony Brook University. There are few issues of greater importance to Rockland and Westchester residents than the ongoing construction of the New NY Bridge, and with it the possibility local commuters will have to pay higher tolls to cross it.
"While Executive Director Megna has previously stated tolls will not increase in 2015, a comprehensive, forward-thinking strategy to keep tolls affordable is needed. I look forward to working with the next Executive Director of the Thruway Authority and will continue to advocate for the needs of commuters throughout Rockland and Westchester counties."
