Car Carrier Hits Overpass, Causing Road Closure In Rockland

ROCKLAND COUNTY, N.Y. -- Hungry Hollow Road over the New York State Thruway in Rockland is back open between Old Nyack Turnpike and Jon Leif Lane in Chestnut Ridge after a car carrier with a van stacked on top hit the overpass.

Hungry Hollow Road was closed after a car-carrier transporting a van hit the overpass.

Structural engineers checked the bridge and have determined there was no serious damage to the overpass.

No one was injured during the event.
