Day Meets With Suffern Girl Scouts At Antrim Playhouse

WESLEY HILLS, N.Y. -- Rockland County Executive Ed Day attended the Antrim Playhouse during the weekend to meet with a group of high school students who completed a detailed project on the theater's history.

Girl Scouts Troop 40720 from Suffern showed off their collection of shadowboxes, which detail each decade of the theater's history from the 1930s to the present, according to a post on the county government's Facebook account.

Among the notable names connected with the playhouse at 15 Spook Rock Road are Henny Youngman, Tyne Daly, Fred Gwynne and Burl Ives, according to the post.

Several Scouts received credit for the project, including Paige Danzig, Devon Keeley, Danielle Manos and Taylor Wald.

It was said the effort was part of the girls' Silver Award project and took four months to complete.
