- The Burger Loft, New City
- The Filling Station, Haverstraw, Palisades
- The Whiskey Kitchen, Valley Cottage
Who will win? It’s up to you, Daily Voice readers, so let your fingers do the clicking. Voting ends 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 28. You can vote multiple times, albeit once per day.
What Makes It Patty Perfect: Modern digs and beef that is freshly ground on-site using choice, or higher, cuts and no trimmings. Patties are handmade, pressed flat on the grill for maximum caramelization and served double on a challah bun. The choices include the “classic,” with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion and “loft sauce”; the “Buffalo” with provolone cheese, blue cheese dressing and buffalo sauce; the “Butterfly” (avocado, bacon, cheddar, watercress and tomato). For a buck fifty more, you can drop the bun and have your burger served on a salad of mixed greens and balsamic dressing.
Among the sides are double-fried spuds and roasted corn. Fries are extra and if you want something to dip them in, you will be charged 50 cents per serving. However, frequent fliers rave about the sauces, especially truffle aioli, roasted garlic and lemon, Sriracha mayo, and horseradish Dijon.
The eatery also has an extensive line-up of boutique beers, wine, bourbon, and cocktails to quench thirsts brought on by all that salty goodness.
