Nyack Chamber Of Commerce Offers Earth Day Event In Veterans Park

NYACK, N.Y. -- The Nyack Chamber of Commerce will be hosting an Earth Day event from 12-5 p.m. on Saturday, April 16.

The event, scheduled to take place at the Veterans Park gazebo near Main and Cedar streets, is to feature music, activities for the children, vendors, local environmental groups, information from government agencies and a presence by local businesses.

Demonstrations and art projects teaching global awareness and opportunities for local action also are to take place, according to the Chamber.

Visitors to the event will enjoy Earth-friendly "How-to" tips on recycling, gardening and composting as well as a diverse lineup of local artists playing music and selling environmentally-friendly sustainable products and services.
