30-Year-Old ID'd As Victim In Fatal Crash Involving Stolen Car In Region A man who was allegedly driving a stolen vehicle was killed when he crashed into a tree, and the SUV burst into flames while fleeing police in the region. The incident occurred in Dutchess County at 4:50 a.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 10, in the parking lot of Dunkin' Donuts on Violet Avenue in the town of Hyde Park. According to New York State Police Trooper AJ Hicks, responding troopers found the 2015 Honda Pilot still running and left unattended on Violet Avenue. 29-Year-Old Leads Troopers On Pursuit Before Crashing On Capital Region Highway, Police Say A high-speed police chase in the region ended with a motorcyclist in the hospital. The Albany County incident happened at around 8 p.m. Saturday, June 22, on southbound I-87 in Colonie. New York State Police said troopers attempted to stop a motorcyclist for speeding near Exit 4, but the man continued driving southbound as police followed. He attempted to get off the highway at Exit 2W, but lost control and crashed on the off-ramp.
