Rensselaer County Man Nabbed With Child Pornography, Police Say A Capital Region man is behind bars after being nabbed with child pornography following a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Rensselaer County resident Brayden P. Ayer, age 20, of Castleton on Hudson, was charged on Friday, Sept. 27, for promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing a sexual performance by a child. Cocaine-Fentanyl Trafficking Operation Busted In Capital Region A major cocaine and fentanyl operation of 21 individuals who were charged with 222 crimes was busted following a year-long investigation in the Capital Region. New York Attorney General Letitia James said the "takedown" occurred on Tuesday, Oct. 1, in New York City and Rensselaer, Albany, Saratoga, Warren, and Washington counties. According to James, the operation was responsible for selling large quantities of powder and crack cocaine, as well as fentanyl and heroin.  The investigation led to the recovery of more than 4.5 kilograms of cocaine with a street value of approximately $450…

Juvenile Nabbed For Making 'Non-Specific' School Threat In Region, Police Say A juvenile was charged with allegedly making a threat of mass harm after the FBI alerted the New York State Police of a school threat made in the region on TikTok. The incident occurred in Dutchess County on Tuesday, Oct. 1, in Wappinger. Trooper AJ Hicks said an investigation determined the "non-specific threat originated from the town of Wappinger.  Investigators located and arrested the minor soon after, Hicks said. Man Busted In Broom Handle Attack During Incident In Region A man was charged with allegedly assaulting a woman with a broom handle and his fist, causing a head injury, during a domestic dispute in the region. Ulster County resident Harry J. Krom, age 42, of Kerhonkson, was arrested on Wednesday, Sept. 25, on Two Path Road in Wawarsing. Capital Region Man Accused Of Raping Woman While Supplying Alcohol, Pot A Capital Region man is behind bars for allegedly raping a woman and endangering the welfare of a child. Saratoga County resident Alim Mohammed, age 34, of Moreau, was charged on Friday, Sept. 27, in Lamplighter Acres in Moreau. Dutchess County resident Richard Bulson, age 40, of Poughkeepsie, was arrested on Friday, Sept. 27, for the Saturday, Sept. 21 incident on Main Street in Beacon.
