Fentanyl-Cocaine Dealers Nabbed In Region, Police Say Two alleged drug dealers were nabbed with fentanyl, cocaine, and a weapon following an investigation into narcotics sales in the area. The arrests occurred in Dutchess County on Thursday, Sept. 12, at a residence on Violet Avenue in Hyde Park. The Dutchess County District Attorney’s Office Drug Task Force investigated narcotics sales after receiving numerous complaints regarding drug activity around the residence, said Det. Sgt. Police To Target Aggressive Drivers In This Town In Region As aggressive drivers flood the roadways, a town in the region will increase traffic enforcement to address the issue. The patrols will occur in Dutchess County in the town of Poughkeepsie in the coming weeks. According to the town of Poughkeepsie Police, officers will actively monitor for violations such as speeding, unsafe lane changes, passing red lights, and other dangerous driving behaviors.  "Our goal is to enhance road safety and ensure a secure driving environment for everyone," the department said. The enforcement will take place throughout the town limits.

Suspect Nabbed In Fatal Shooting In Region Police have made a second arrest in the 2022 murder of a 32-year-old man in a housing complex parking lot. Khyree Pratt, age 23, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was arrested on Thursday, Sept. 5, in connection with the 2022 murder of Lionel Pittman in Dutchess County at the Forrestal Heights housing complex in Beacon.
