A Bronx man was arrested and charged with murder after a missing woman was found dead along the Saw Mill River Parkway in Yonkers, police said. Junior Perez Diaz, 46, of 2200 Morris Avenue, was taken into custody on Friday, March 7, 2025, at 5:17 p.m. in the 46th Precinct, authorities said. He faces charges of second-degree murder, first-degree manslaughter, and first-degree kidnapping, the NYPD said. A car ended up in an indoor swimming pool after crashing into a Westchester fitness center. The crash happened on Friday, March 7, at around 12:30 p.m., when a vehicle crashed into Club Fit at 584 North State Rd. The car ended up in one of the building's indoor pools, as shown in a photo from the scene taken by eyewitness Christopher Tucker. No one was injured, according to the Ossining Police Department. There will soon be a student on every school board in New York.A new law requiring all state boards of education to have at least one student member will take effect on July 1, 2025.
