Downed Transformers Shut Tappan Roadway
A downed pole with transformers in the street shut a Tappan roadway Wednesday night, Jan. 1, responders said. Tappan Fire Department said that Route 303 was closed at Tappan Golf as of 10:30 p.m. A cause was not provided.

Route 303 To Close In Both Directions In Rockland County For Repair Work
Motorists in Rockland County can expect delays and detours as Route 303 closes in both directions for sewer repair work. The New York State Department of Transportation said Route 303 between Route 20 (Orangeburg Road) and Erie Street in the town of Orangetown will be closed in both directions from 8 p.m. on Friday, June 28, through Noon on Saturday, June 29, to facilitate sewer main repairs, weather permitting. Motorists should use the posted detour as an alternate. For more information, call 511.
