34-Year-Old Man Killed After Crashing Off Route 9, Into Trees A 34-year-old area man was killed in a motorcycle crash after driving off the roadway and crashing into a number of trees. The crash took place in Dutchess County around 3:25 p.m., on Monday, June 8, on Route 9 in the Town of Poughkeepsie. The Poughkeepsie resident, whose name has not yet been released, was driving the motorcycle at the intersection of the Post Road Plaza at Route 9 (2566 South Road), when he drove off the pavement and into the center median where he struck a number of trees, Town of Poughkeepsie PD Capt.
