Suspect From Orange County Rams Police Car In Bergen County Pursuit A Paramus police officer's vehicle was struck by a 21-year-old New York man leading a pursuit out of Waldwick early Monday, Oct. 7, authorities said. Waldwick Officer Chris Sanchez saw a man later identified as Orange County, NY resident Jaoine Ford, of Chester, speeding in a 2023 Ford Escape on Route 17 south at 12:23 a.m., Waldwick Lt. Duo Accused Of Stealing 1,000 Gallons Of Cooking Oil In Connecticut Two New York men are facing charges after authorities said they stole more than 1,000 gallons of cooking oil in Connecticut and then led police on a pursuit. The owner of Pizza Palace Restaurant in Middlesex County called police at about 9:40 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, to report that he had interrupted the theft of cooking oil at his restaurant, according to the Old Saybrook Police Department.
