Storm Update: Tornado Watch Issued For These NY Counties
As rounds of showers and storms sweep through the region, a Tornado Watch has now been issued for parts of New York. The watch is in effect until 11 p.m. Monday, Aug. 7 in the counties shown in yellow. In New York, those counties are: Sullivan Broome Chenango Delaware Otsego Tioga Severe thunderstorms are expected to continue through the afternoon and in Monday evening. A frontal system bringing multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms with damaging wind gusts to the area will bring both a flash flood and severe weather threat, according to the National Weather Service.
