ID Released For Victim Of Fatal Route 17A Crash
The person killed in a single-vehicle crash in Orange County has been identified.
Tom Walter, 28, of Warwick, was killed around 9 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 5, on Route 17A near Durland Road, in Goshen, said Orange County Sheriff's Capt. Paul Arteta.
According to Arteta, Walter, who was the lone occupant, collided with a tree in a county-owned vehicle.
He was rushed to Orange Regional Center where he was pronounced dead, he added.
Walter worked as a public health technician with the Orange County Health Department, said Justin Rodriguez, a spokesman for Orange County.…

Roadwork Alert: Single-Lane Closure Scheduled On Route 17
The New York State Department of Transportation is warning motorists of the upcoming single-lane closure while crews perform construction activities, weather permitting, on Route 17.
Motorists are advised that the closure is scheduled in the Orange County towns of Blooming Grove, Wallkill and Goshen and villages of Chester and Goshen eastbound, between Exit 126 (Route 94) and Exit 129 (Museum Village Road), Monday, Sept. 30 and Wednesday, October 2, and between Exit 118 (Fair Oaks) and Exit 119 (Route 202), on Tuesday, Oct. 1, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Brian Lienemann, Technologist From Area, Father Of Three, Dies At 47
Brian Lienemann, a senior technologist in the area, died at age 47 on Sunday, July 7.
Lienemann, an Orange County resident who lived in Goshen, is survived by his wife, Meredith Lienemann (nee' Stiles); daughters, Catherine and Abigail, son Russell Stiles; grandparents, Gene and Margaret Lienemann, grandmother Kathleen Horton, mother Shirley Campbell, brother Curtis Lienemann and a large extended family filled with aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
