Second Killer Denied Parole In Pearl River Girl's Murder
The mother of a Pearl River teenager brutally murdered and sexually assaulted by two men in 1980 is celebrating the denial of parole for one of the men convicted of the crime.
Lois Bohovesky, 86, of Pearl River, said she is "delighted," that Robert McCain, one of the men convicted in the1980 murder of her 16-year-old daughter Paula Bohovesky, as she walked home from her part-time job at the local library.
"I still think of her every day and our family accepts this with glad tidings," she said.

Spring Rockland Repair Café Coming Soon
The Spring Rockland Repair Cafe has been scheduled for Sunday, May 5, according to County Executive Ed Day.
The event is intended to pair volunteer Repair Coaches, who are neighbors with DIY expertise, with those who bring in items that need to be repaired, such as computers, lamps, clothing, small appliances, toys, electronics and more.
Anything that can be carried in by an individual will be considered for repair, event sponsors say, aside from items with gas engines. Therefore, lawn mowers, chainsaws and gas-powered landscaping equipment are restricted.
