RAMAPO, N.Y. -- Officials are making inquiries on inspections that were done on school buildings by the Ramapo fire inspector, lohud.com reported.

A letter on March 14 to fire inspector Adam Peltz from the state Department of Education mentions "multiple issues with inspections" he did at Rockland County private schools: The Rockland Institute for Special Education, Bais Yaakov, Green Meadow Waldorf and Bais Yehuda, said lohud.com.

Peltz, Anthony Mallia, Ramapo's director of building, planning and zoning, or Ramapo Supervisor Christopher St. Lawrence could not be reached for comment, the lohud.com report said.
