Suffern Police Charge Spring Valley Woman With Assault, Criminal Mischief

SUFFERN, N.Y. -- Suffern police say they have charged a 19-year-old Spring Valley woman with assault and criminal mischief.

Police said the woman got into a physical fight with an acquaintance at a house on Somerset Drive recently.

The unidentified suspect hit the other woman in the face and also broke a lamp during the tussle, police said.

She fled the scene, but was apprehended by police Thursday night, they said.

Suffern police also said they arrested a few folks for driving with suspended registrations, including a 56-year-old Airmont man and a 35-year-old Albany man who were both stopped on Lafayette Avenue, and a 56-year-old Pearl River man who was stopped on Woodland Drive.
