Funeral Services Set For Sparkill Woman Killed On Honduras Charity Mission

SPARKILL, N.Y. -- Abigail Flanagan, the Sparkill nurse who died in a tragic accident while on a charity mission in Honduras, will be laid to rest this week, according to a report in lohud.

The Moritz Funeral Home in Tappan is handling the arrangements, lohud reported.

Calling hours are 3 p.m. - 8 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 10, and Thursday, Jan. 11; and her funeral is set for 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 22, the lohud story said.

Flanagan, 45, was killed on Wednesday, Jan. 13, when the van she and other mission workers were riding in suddenly plunged into a ravine, according to a report in the Daily Voice.

Two others were also killed: Olivia Varley Erhardt, 20, and Daniella Moffson, 21, both college students.

Flanagan was a nurse practitioner and a student at the Columbia University Medical Center.

The funeral home is located at 98 Route 303 in Tappan.
