Emergency crews were called at around 12:15 p.m. Monday, June 24, after a single-engine Piper PA-28 plane made an emergency landing on Fire Island’s Atlantique Beach. Two people were on board and there were no reports of injuries, according to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).
