Long Island Physician Assistant Engaged In Sexual Contact With 14-Year-Old Patient, Police Say
A Long Island physician assistant has been arrested after he allegedly engaged in sexual contact with a minor patient and then gave her money in an attempt to prevent her from reporting the contact.
According to Suffolk County Police, Richard Bennett, 48, of Coram, was arrested Thursday, May 21, for having inappropriate sexual contact with a 14-year-old female patient earlier that month while he was employed at Family Medical Care, located at 1745 Union Blvd, in Bay Shore.
He then allegedly gave the teen cash to prevent her from reporting the crime, police said.

Long Island Man Admits To Raping, Assaulting Woman
A 25-year-old Long Island man has pleaded guilty to the brutal rape and assault of a woman in Freeport last year.
Ever Martinez-Reyes, of Roosevelt, pleaded guilty Thursday, Sept. 26, to two counts of felony rape, two counts of sexual abuse, and four counts of assault, the Nassau County District Attorney's Office said.
He is expected to be sentenced to 20 years in prison in addition to 20 years post-release supervision and to register as a sexual offender, the DA's Office said.

Nassau Man Nabbed For At Least Three Sexual Assaults, Police Say
An attempted sexual assault in Levittown led to the arrest of a man allegedly connected to at least two other attacks.
Onel Jiminez-Maradiaga, 20, of Plainview, was arrested by members of the Nassau County Police Special Victim's Squad on Friday, Sept. 20, following an investigation into the Thursday, Sept. 12 attempted attack in Levittown, Nassau County Police said.
During the Sept. 12 incident, which took place around 10:20 p.m., Jiminez-Maradiaga, allegedly approached a 43-year-old woman as she entered her home and grabbed her inappropriately, police said.
