A Long Island man has been arrested for allegedly stabbing his brother and then setting the house on fire.
Victor Brown, of Coram, was arrested on Friday, July 9 by Suffolk County Police following the incident which took place around 8 p.m..
According to detectives, Brown, age 29, stabbed his brother with a large knife and then set the home, located at 139 Sequoia Lane in Coram, on fire.
The brother then called 911 to tell police he had been stabbed, police said.

A man who was reportedly suffering chest pains and having difficulty breathing became combative with responding officers and a medic overnight at a Long Island home, according to police.
Officers arrived at the home in Bellmore at around 2:10 a.m. Sunday, July 11, at which time, the man became verbally and physically combative, according to Nassau County Police.
The man, Anthony Martone, age 59, pushed an officer downstairs causing pain to his neck and back before spitting in the face of a responding medic, Nassau County Police said.

A 24-year-old woman is facing charges after refusing to pay for a meal at a Long Island restaurant and then resisting arrest, injuring a police officer, according to police.
Julie Imani Rutledge, of Laurelton, in Queens, was arrested around 1:40 p.m., Wednesday, May 12, at the Applebee's Restaurant in Valley Stream, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, police were called to the eatery at the Green Acres Mall by management who were requesting that Rutledge be arrested for attempting to leave without paying for the food she ordered and consumed.

A 34-year-old man has been arrested in connection with an alleged overdose of a Long Island resident.
Donald Smith, of Valley Stream, was apprehended by Nassau County Police on Thursday, April 29, following a months-long investigation into the non-fatal overdose of an area resident, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, when officers attempted to arrest Smith, he fled on foot and resisted arrest.

A Long Island teen has been arrested for allegedly punching a police officer during a fight with two other men.
Selvin Guillen Ulloa, age 19, of Glen Cove, was arrested around 9:22 p.m., Wednesday, April 21, following the assault in Greenvale, said the Nassau County Police.
