ID Released For Store Manager Shot, Killed By Worker At NY Stop & Shop
The identity has been released for the store manager killed by a worker in a shooting that injured two others at a supermarket on Long Island.
The suspect, Gabriel DeWitt Wilson, age 31, of Hempstead, pleaded not guilty on Wednesday, April 21, just 24 hours after the incident took place at the Stop & Shop in West Hempstead on Tuesday, April 20.
Wilson was apprehended within four hours of the shooting following a massive manhunt that included more than 150 officers, the FBI, the ATF, and the NYPD, said Nassau County Police Commissioner Patrick Ryder.

Bail Reform Allowed Suspect To Stab Innocent Victim, Suffolk Sheriff Says
A knife-wielding Long Island man, a suspect in a recent stabbing in New York City, had recently been released from jail in Suffolk County due to bail reform, according to Suffolk County Sheriff Errol D. Toulon Jr.
Quandale Linton, age 26, of Hauppauge, was arrested on Wednesday, March 10, in the parking lot of the First District Court in Central Islip following the attack, said the Suffolk County Sheriff's Office.
According to Toulon, Linton had been released on his own recognizance from the 1st District Court in Central Islip, in line with New York State bail reform guidelines.

Four Charged In Killing Of Woman Found In Trunk On Long Island
Four men have been arrested in connection with the killing of a woman found dead in the trunk of a car on Long Island.
The NYPD identified the victim as Nazareth Tamir-Claure, age 44, of Queens, who formerly lived in Hewlett.
Tamir-Claure was found in the trunk on Wednesday, April 14, after police officers watched four men load a wrapped object into the trunk, the NYPD said.
The officers followed the vehicle and conducted a car stop in the vicinity of Nassau Expressway and Bayview Avenue in Inwood, said the NYPD.

Man Nabbed In Armed Robbery Of Woman On Long Island, Police Say
A man wanted for a violent 2019 alleged robbery of a 62-year-old Long Island woman who was tied up has been arrested by police.
Illya Ibbott, age 30, of Brooklyn, was arrested on a warrant Wednesday, April 7, while he was in NYPD custody, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, during the September 2019 robbery, a male, armed with a handgun, forced entry into a residence on Celia Drive in Jericho.
Once inside the residence, the man tied up a woman, and two more men wearing masks entered the residence.
