A man who impersonated a New York Department of Social Services employee has been accused of sexually abusing a resident at a shelter facility on Long Island. Deer Park resident Alfred Balcerak, age 65, pretended to be the DDS employee to gain entry into a shelter facility in East Farmingdale, on Sunday, Sept. 6, according to Suffolk County Police. Suspect Nabbed After 30-Year-Old Shot, Killed In Broad Daylight Outside Long Island Residence
A suspect has been apprehended after a fatal shooting in broad daylight outside a Long Island residence. It happened around 6 p.m. Friday, Aug. 30 in Brentwood. Joshua E. Jasmin, age 30, of North Babylon, was transported via Brentwood Legion Ambulance to South Shore University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
