Owner, Worker Charged After SLA Inspection At Long Island Restaurant
An owner and worker at a Long Island restaurant were both charged after a New York State Liquor Authority Inspection overnight.
In response to numerous community complaints, Suffolk County Police say they and other agencies conducted the inspection at the Three Stars Restaurant, on West Hills Road in Huntington Station, at 10:40 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 18.

Long Island Teen Critically Injured In Head-On Crash
A teenager suffered critical injuries in a head-on crash overnight on a busy Long Island roadway.
It happened in Manorville at around 10:15 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 25.
Juan Carlos Osorio Tejada, age 34, of Rocky Point, was driving a 2016 BMW southbound on Moriches-Middle Island Road, just north of Sunrise Highway (Route 27), Suffolk County Police said.
The BMW then crossed into the northbound lane and crashed into a 2021 Honda Civic, according to police.

A Long Island community is rallying around the family of a 27-year-old teacher and expectant mom who unexpectedly died from a heart abnormality.
Rachel Quinn, an educator at the Bretton Woods Elementary School in Hauppauge, where she taught fifth-graders, died on Monday, June 14 at Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue.
Quinn’s first child, Ellie Anne Quinn, who was expected in weeks, also died, officials said.

Long Island Man Killed After Car Crashes Into Tree, Police Say
A Long Island man was killed after losing control of his vehicle and striking a tree, according to authorities.
The crash happened around 8:30 a.m., Tuesday, June 15.
Erik Schreiber, age 37, of Islip, was traveling eastbound on the Sunrise Service Road, in Bayport, when his 2008 Nissan the roadway and struck a tree, said the Suffolk County Police
Schreiber was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in East Patchogue where he was pronounced dead.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
