Long Island Assisted Living Facility Worker Struck 92-Year-Old Woman In Face, Police Say
A woman employed as a health-care worker allegedly struck a 92-year-old victim in the face at a Long Island assisted living facility.
It happened around 4:50 a.m.on Monday, Feb. 10 in East Garden City.
According to detectives, Andrea B. Richards, 48, of St. Albans, Queens, while employed as a health care worker, struck the victim with her right hand causing the victim substantial pain and a black and blue discolored eye.
Richards was arrested without incident at her home at 10:40 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 11.

Two Nabbed For Stealing More Than $260K In Goods From LI Bloomingdale's, Police Say
Nassau County Police nabbed two men in connection with more than $260,000 in thefts from Bloomingdale's in East Garden City.
According to detectives, the thefts were carried out on numerous occasions beginning Sunday, Sept. 22, after Teron Butcher, 29, of Queens, a loss prevention agent at Bloomingdale’s, at 630 Old Country Road, manipulated cameras to allow two other men to remove merchandise undetected.
