Bellport Man Arrested 46 Times, Nabbed For 10 Larcenies
A Long Island man who police say has been arrested 46 times has been charged with 10 new larcenies across the region.
Emmitt Smith, age 43, of Bellport, was charged on Wednesday, April 24, with the larcenies that occurred across Nassau County, according to Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, an investigation was conducted that led to the arrest of Smith for the following larcenies:

'His Intentions Were Clear': Man Charged In Brutal Machete Attack At Long Island Store
The suspect in a brutal machete attack at a Dick’s Sporting Goods on Long Island that injured three people has been charged with attempted murder.
Treyvius Tunstall, age 22, of West Babylon, was charged with multiple crimes in Suffolk County Monday, Aug. 29, stemming from the attack that injured a store manager and two customers.
Prosecutors said Tunstall went to the Dick’s Sporting Goods store located in Westfield Mall in Bay Shore on Friday, Aug. 12, to buy a machete, a hunting knife, and a backpack.

A Long Island man is facing 43 charges, including burglary, grand larceny, and 33 active warrants, according to police.
Fifth Precinct Crime Section Officer Eric Cox received information late Saturday morning, Feb. 5 that Matthew Verderosa, age 25, of Coram, who was wanted by police, was possibly at the Midway Motel in Patchogue, Suffolk County Police said.
Cox surveilled the location and observed Verderosa leaving the hotel, according to police.
