21-Year-Old Caught With Loaded Handgun In Long Island Traffic Stop, Police Say
Police arrested a 21-year-old man who allegedly had a loaded handgun in his vehicle during a traffic stop on Long Island.
Ryan Perry, of Blountstown, Florida, was arrested around 4:45 p.m., Thursday, May 13, after being stopped in East Garden City, said Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, officers spotted a 2021 GMC pickup driving southbound on Dibblee Drive with an expired registration and stopped the vehicle in the parking lot of the Red Roof Inn.
During an investigation, officers discovered a loaded handgun inside the vehicle, police said.

Three men, two from Long Island, were arrested for allegedly having a gun in a vehicle along with marijuana uncovered during a traffic stop.
The incident took place around 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 6, in Uniondale, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, officers observed a 2013 Mercedes Benz traveling westbound on Hempstead Turnpike. The vehicle had dark tinted windows and officers conducted a traffic stop, police said.

Teen Trio Nabbed For Long Island Motel Robbery, Police Say
Three teenagers are facing charges after allegedly robbing two other teens at a Long Island motel, police said.
The three suspects entered a room at the Capri Motor Inn on Hempstead Turnpike in West Hempstead at approximately 12:40 a.m. on Monday, July 20, police said, demanding cash, clothes, and cellphones, Nassau County Police said.
Police said that the three teens pulled weapons on their 18- and 19-year-old victims, and when one of them attempted to pull a gun away from one of their attackers, he was stabbed by one of the three teens.

Three Long Island men were arrested for allegedly robbing a man parked in a vehicle in Elmont.
The incident took place around 2:15 a.m., Wednesday, April 29, near the intersection of Kirkman Avenue and Blossom Street, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, a 25-year-old man was in his vehicle near the intersection when a silver 2002 Jaguar with three men inside approached the vehicle.
