Retired Police Officer Who Served In Northern Westchester For Decades Dies A police department in Northern Westchester is mourning the loss of a retired officer who served communities in the Hudson Valley for decades.  The Peekskill Police Department announced the death of retired officer John Lynch on Wednesday, Oct. 25 in a post on social media.  According to the department, Lynch served with both the Beacon and Peekskill Police Departments for almost 25 years between the 1960s and 1980s. Most of this time was spent in Peekskill, the department added.  After his retirement, Lynch moved to Arizona, where he had been at the time of his death. …
