Suspect On Loose After Convenience Store Robbed At Gunpoint In Area
Police are searching for a man who allegedly held up a convenience store at gunpoint before fleeing the area. The armed robbery took place around 10:05 a.m., Tuesday, March 31 in Orange County at the Cumberland Farms Store on Route 94 in Salisbury Mills, said Town of Cornwall Police Chief Todd Hazard. Police responded to the store after an employee contacted 911 and reported that they were held up by a subject who displayed a gun and had since fled the scene, Hazard said. Man Busted For Armed Gas Station Robbery In Area, Police Say
A 31-year-old man has been arrested in connection with a gas station armed robbery in the area. Orange County resident Andre McGriff, of Newburgh, was arrested by the Town of Newburgh Police for the Feb. 5, armed robbery of the Mobil Gas Station on South Plank Road, said Lt. James Nenni. According to Nenni, McGriff will be prosecuted in federal court. Eleven women have come to report abuse by a physician assistant who was arrested last week for allegedly inappropriately touching a patient's breast during a doctor's visit in the Hudson Valley.
