Nassau Resident Finds Stranger Inside Car, NYC Woman Busted For Break-Ins: Police
A 21-year-old New York City woman was busted breaking into cars on Long Island, police said.
Charmaine Skeen, of Coney Island, was spotted inside a vehicle by a victim in Valley Stream around 1:30 a.m. Friday, May 8, the Nassau County Police Department said.
The victim’s vehicle was parked on Munro Boulevard, and she called police when she spotted Skeen inside, authorities said.
After the suspect’s description was shared with local cops, an officer found Skeen on Munro Boulevard, but she was “violent and combative while resisting arrest,” cops said.

A Queens man who was high on marijuana and speeding at 123 mph when he crashed and killed his sister and her friend was sentenced Friday, May 8, authorities said.
Jaden D’Souza, 20, got seven to 18 years in prison for the wreck, which he pleaded guilty to on March 23, the Nassau County District Attorney’s office said.
“The defendant’s extreme recklessness stole the lives of two young women, including his own sister,” District Attorney Anne Donnelly said. “This sentence sends a clear message that there is a heavy price to pay for such a flagrant disregard for human life.”

LI Creep, 21, Busted For Child Porn, Multiple Phones Seized: Police
A Long Island man was arrested Friday, May 8 for promoting and possessing child porn, police said.
Joseph Stangelo, 21, was detained at his home in Lindenhurst around 7:30 a.m. Friday, the Suffolk County Police Department said.
Cops received a tip from the Internet Crimes Against Children task force and searched Stangelo’s home, according to authorities. Investigators seized multiple cellphones during the search.
Stangelo was charged with possession and promotion of a sexual performance by a child, police said. His arraignment was scheduled for later Friday.

A fired delivery driver is accused of slashing tires on nearly 30 Amazon delivery vehicles, stealing key fobs, and trying to hide evidence in a river, authorities said.
Anthony Gillio of Cape Coral, Florida, was arrested on Friday, May 1, the Lee County Sheriff's Office said. The 22-year-old was charged with grand theft of between $5,000 and $10,000, two counts of criminal mischief, and tampering with evidence.
