POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. -- Mary Durniak, of Poughkeepsie, died Friday, Nov. 25. She was 88.
She was born in Brooklyn N.Y., the only child of immigrants Seman Potocky and Anna Bochnewych.
She graduated from Girl's High School in Brooklyn and studied at Hunter College for a short time before starting work as a dental assistant.

BERGENFIELD, N.J. -- Harald Ankro, of Bergenfield, died Sunday, Nov. 27. He was 55.
Born and raised in Queens, he lived in Dumont before moving to Bergenfield seven years ago. He was a huge Beetles fan who had a passion for guitars and was known to all who knew him to be a collector of many things. He was employed by Con Edison for more than 30 years.
He is survived by his wife, Lorraine (nee Lauerman) Ankro; step-son, Nicholas Lauerman and his wife Miki; siblings, Eugene Ankro and Liisa Ryan; and grandchildren, Saya and Sara.

Richard L. Derringer, 79, Of Hyde Park
HYDE PARK, N.Y. -- Richard L. Derringer, of Hyde Park, died Nov. 26. He was 79.
He was born in July 25, 1937, Pittsburgh, to the late George and Catherine Derringer, and received a Firestone college scholarship for four years including full tuition, room and board. He received his B.S. in mathematics from Carnegie Institute of Technology (Carnegie Mellon) in Pittsburgh. In addition, he completed advanced mathematic courses at Adelphi University and intensive technical programs at IBM Systems Research Institute.

Leon Loy, 79, Formerly Of Pearl River
PEARL RIVER, N.Y. -- Leon Loy, formerly of Pearl River, died Friday, Nov. 25. He was 79.
Loy was born June 28, 1937, in Romania, to Adam and Caecilie Loy.
He was an electrician for IBEW Local 363 in Rockland County before his retirement. He served in the U.S. Army from 1960-62. He lived in Pearl River for 48 years and resided in Baldwinsville the past 12 years.
He is survived by his wife, Gladys; sons, Joseph and wife Rebecca and Edward and wife Tara; grandson, Ian; granddaughters, Fiona, Maeve and Kiera; and sisters, Maria O’Brien and Angela Stelz.

NANUET, N.Y. -- Yvonne Ciarletta, of Nanuet, died Friday, Nov. 25. She was 84.
She was born March 30, 1932, in New York City, the daughter of the late Carlo and the late Ines Castagnidoli Roncoli.
She moved to Pearl River, where she lived for almost 50 years and was employed by Marine Midland Bank as a teller. Recently, she was a resident of Seaton Village in Nanuet, where she spent many happy times playing cards and participating in every social activity available.
