Self-Cleaning Oven Sparks Blaze At Apartment Complex In Croton-On-Hudson A blaze at a Northern Westchester apartment complex sparked by a self-cleaning oven was quickly stopped in its tracks thanks to quick action from firefighters. The fire happened on Tuesday, Sept. 10 at around 1:20 p.m., when smoke was seen coming from the Bari Manor Apartments on Old Post Road South in Croton-on-Hudson, according to the village's fire department. Arriving fire crews quickly made their way to a second-floor apartment and found that a grease fire had begun inside an oven. Driver Flown to Hospital After Truck Rolls Over On I-84 In Hudson Valley An interstate in the Hudson Valley was temporarily closed after a truck overturned, injuring the driver. The crash happened in Putnam County on Tuesday afternoon, Sept. 10, when a truck crashed on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 84 just east of Route 312 in Brewster, according to the Brewster Fire Department. Intermittent Traffic Stoppages To Affect Route 133 In New Castle: Here's When Those who hate sitting in traffic for long periods should watch out for planned intermittent stoppages on a busy Northern Westchester road. A series of 15-minute traffic stoppages on Route 133 between Henry Place and Route 9 in the town of New Castle are planned for Wednesday, Sept. 11, the New York State Department of Transportation announced. Driver Injured In 2-Car Crash In Front Of Historic Hudson Valley Manor A two-car crash in front of a historic Northern Westchester manor-turned-museum caused injuries, firefighters said. The incident happened in Croton-on-Hudson on Saturday, Sept. 7 at around 7:20 p.m., when two vehicles collided in front of Van Cortlandt Manor on South Riverside Avenue, according to the Croton-on-Hudson Fire Department. Arriving fire crews dealt with a fluid spill from one of the cars while EMS treated a driver injured in the crash. Both vehicles were later towed away, the department said. Concerned Citizen Helps Catch Duo Accused Of Robbing FedEx Driver In Port Chester Two suspects were apprehended after stealing packages from a FedEx driver in Westchester and threatening a concerned citizen who tried to catch them, police said. SUV Crashes Down Embankment In Hudson Valley A driver was hospitalized after their vehicle plunged down an embankment in the Hudson Valley. The crash happened in Putnam County on Saturday, Sept. 7, when an SUV crashed into the woods at around 1:40 a.m. in the area of Nicholas Way in Mahopac, according to the Mahopac Falls Volunteer Fire Department.
