Beekman Library Stuffing Stockings For Soldiers, Needs Help, Donations
POUGHQUAG, N.Y. -- Holiday stockings for veterans will be filled Thursday, Dec. 8 at the Beekman Library.
Participants are welcome to join this event, a partnership between the library and Soldiers' Angels, to fill 25 stockings that will be donated to service members and veterans this season.
All ages and families are welcome to help with the initiative at 6 p.m. at the library.
In advance of Thursday's activity, the following donations mus be brought to the library by Tuesday, Dec. 6:

Black Friday Event At Red Hook Library Has Nothing To Do With Shopping
RED HOOK, N.Y. – The Red Hook Library has scheduled is inaugural Black Friday Pack Walk to provide locals with a “healthy, family-friendly and furry” alternative to Black Friday shopping.
The event, which is to kick off at the library, 7444 S. Broadway, is to begin at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 25, according to organizers, who said the walk route will move right through the village.
The Dutchess County SPCA is among the organizations expected to attend the walk, according to organizers, who said the group will be on hand to show case adoptable dogs and collect donations for much-needed shelter…
